Claudia Assef
CLAUDIA ASSEF é jornalista de música, trabalhou nos principais jornais, revistas e sites brasileiros, entre eles Folha De S. Paulo, do qual foi correspondente internacional em Paris, e O Estado de S. Paulo, onde manteve uma coluna musical, entre outros. É autora dos livros "Todo DJ Já Sambou", "Ondas Tropicais" e "O Barulho da Lua". Esteve envolvida na curadoria de eventos como Sónar São Paulo, Skol Beats, Nokia Trends, Motomix, Virada Cultural, SP na Rua, festival SOMA, Dia da Música Eletrônica de São Paulo 2018 e 2019, Absolut Nights, New Faces on The Block, Território Hip Hop, ASA (British Council e Oi Futuro), entre outros. Atualmente, Claudia é editora-chefe da Billboard Brasil. É também sócia-fundadora do WME - Women's Music Event - projeto com foco na mulher na música, incluindo uma conferência e uma premiação anual e publisher do site Music Non Stop. Claudia foi, entre 2019 e 2022, coordenadora do Centro Cultura Olido em SP, onde inaugurou a Galeria do DJ, primeiro espaço público da América Latina dedicado ao universo da discotecagem. Claudia também é DJ e produtora musical.
CLAUDIA ASSEF is a music journalist, writer, curator and DJ with over 30 years of service to the industry. She has worked for the main Brazilian newspapers, magazines and websites, including Folha De S. Paulo, for which she was an international correspondent in Paris, and O Estado de S. Paulo, where she maintained a music column, among others. She is the author of the books "Todo DJ Já Sambou", "Ondas Tropicais" and "O Barulho da Lua". She was involved in the curation of events such as Sónar São Paulo, Skol Beats, Nokia Trends, Motomix, Virada Cultural, SP na Rua, SOMA festival, São Paulo Electronic Music Day 2018 and 2019, Absolut Nights, New Faces on The Block, Território Hip Hop, ASA (British Council and Oi Futuro), among others. Currently, Claudia is editor-in-chief of Billboard Brasil. She is also a founding partner of WME - Women's Music Event - a project focused on women in music, including a conference and an annual award and publisher of the Music Non Stop website. Claudia was, between 2019 and 2022, coordinator of the Centro Cultura Olido in SP, where she opened the DJ Gallery, the first public space in Latin America dedicated to the world of DJing. Claudia is also a DJ and music producer.
